How to Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your Sponee account at any time.
Once deleted, your account and personal data will be erased or anonymized in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
1. In-App Method
To delete your account directly from the app:
- Open the Sponee app
- Go to your Profile screen
- Tap Delete account
- Confirm the deletion
Once confirmed, your account and all associated data will be permanently removed.
2. Email Method
If you no longer have access to the app:
- Send an email to support@sponee.com
- Use the same email address registered with your account
- Include "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line
We will verify your identity and process your deletion request within 48 hours.
Frequently Asked Questions
What data is erased or anonymized?
Erased:
All personal information linked to your account — including profile details, messages, photos, and preferences.
Anonymized:
Non-personal usage statistics and aggregated analytics, where all identifiers are removed.
What data may be retained?
Minimal technical records may be temporarily retained for:
- Security and fraud prevention
- Legal or compliance obligations (if applicable)
These records do not contain personal information and are deleted once no longer necessary.
How long does deletion take?
- In-app deletions: processed immediately.
- Email requests: processed within 48 hours.
- Full removal from backup systems: up to 30 days.
Can I recover my account after deletion?
No.
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.
To use Sponee again, you would need to create a new account.
