Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Sponee mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Sponee ("we", "us", "our"), a startup project operated by its founders prior to company registration.
By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Description

Sponee is a social networking platform designed for athletes and sports enthusiasts.
The Service allows users to:

  • Create profiles showcasing sports skills and interests
  • Connect with other athletes and sports enthusiasts
  • Discover sports venues, courts, and facilities
  • Join teams and participate in sports events
  • Communicate through real-time messaging
  • Share content related to sports and fitness

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account.
You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete information
  • Maintaining the security of your credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You may not:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on the rights of others
  • Transmit harmful, threatening, or offensive content
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access
  • Use the Service for commercial or advertising purposes without permission

5. Commercial Content and Advertising

If you are an owner or representative of a paid or commercial sports venue and wish to publish advertising materials, promotional text, or other commercial content within the Service, you must first obtain our written permission by contacting support@sponee.com.

Unauthorized advertising or promotional content may be removed at our discretion, and repeated violations may lead to account suspension or removal.

6. Prohibited Conduct

Strictly prohibited activities include:

  • Harassment, bullying, or intimidation of other users
  • Sharing false or misleading information
  • Spamming or sending unsolicited communications
  • Uploading malicious software or code
  • Collecting user data without permission
  • Creating multiple accounts to bypass restrictions

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Sponee and protected by international copyright and trademark laws.
You retain ownership of content you share, but grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute such content in connection with the Service.

7.1. OpenStreetMap Data Attribution

Some geographic data in the Sponee app (including coordinates of sports venues) are sourced from OpenStreetMap and its contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL 1.0).

8. User Content

You are solely responsible for the content you post or share.
You represent and warrant that:

  • You have the right to post such content
  • It does not violate laws or these Terms
  • It does not infringe on the rights of others
  • It is not harmful, offensive, or inappropriate

We reserve the right to review, moderate, or remove any content that violates these Terms.

9. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us.
Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we handle your information.

10. Termination and Data Handling

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if you breach these Terms.
When you delete your account, your personal data and profile information are permanently removed.
Messages or content previously shared with others may remain visible to those users for continuity of conversation, but without any identifying information.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free performance, or absence of harmful components.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SPONEE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sponee, its founders, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Belgrade, Serbia.

15. Beta Features

Some features may be experimental or unstable. Use them at your own risk.

16. Regional Availability

Certain features may not be available in all regions. We reserve the right to limit or restrict access.

17. Age Restriction

The Service is intended for users aged 16 and older.
Users under 16 must have parental consent.

19. Severability
